As a piano teacher with any number of students, the Christmas season can be a stressful time of recital preparation. There was also those few students who couldn’t read enough music to get through a song for the recital.
I had to come up with a way for a student to be able to participate in the annual Christmas concert. What would be the easiest way to reduce music note reading for a student?

About The Author
Renée Bermúdez is a pianist, historical musicologist and educator who created MusArt Education to fill the gap between core curriculum courses and the humanities.
The MusArt programs have since become an integral part of several schools in the Los Angeles and Orange County area of California, North Carolina and Arizona. She also lectures to faculties and parents on the importance of incorporating the arts into the teaching curriculum and trains teachers on how to place the humanities into the 3R’s without losing classroom time.
